An apple vase

I love flowers and fruit and think this is the easiest, cutest idea! I found it here and think it would be the sweetest back-to-school gift for a teacher - if only I had a 5 year old going to kindergarten... not yet. :) Anyways, I LOVE the idea... simply buy a pretty and big apple, cut out the center and inside with a knife and melon scooper, place water and flowers inside and you have an oh so cute apple vase! Mine is proudly sitting on my kitchen table and I think I will attempt this idea with other fruits and vegetables in the weeks to come. Happy Weekend! I am LOVING this fabulous, hot summer day! We've already had a big yard sale, gone on a bike ride and spent the day at the beach! I love the summer and hope this hot weather stays forever. :)
